Post-doctoral Fellow

My research at the GCLC team is on the connections between China and Kenya in the digital economy. Mainly using ethnographic methods, I examine skill formation, cultural mediation, and transformation of work practices involved in these connections.

I obtained my Ph.D. in sociocultural anthropology at Yale University in 2023. I also did research on entrepreneurship in Congo-Brazzaville and volunteerism in China. Generally, I am interested in different forms of work and labor, social studies of technology and finance, and all sorts of connections between China and Africa. Please see here for my academic publications.
